Jordan Community School has an established running program for boys and girls in grades fifth through sixth grade. We offer cross country in the fall and track in the spring. Additionally, through our partnership with Chicago Run Jordan students have the opportunity to participate in two one mile fun runs, volunteer at local running competitions, and complete three 5ks in one school year.
If you have any questions about joining please see Mr. Mahon.
I've coached the Jordan soccer team for the last five years. The Jordan soccer team reflects my values as a former player. I believe:
a.) that young players need practice in the fundamentals, coaching in basic tactics, and constructive criticism in their approaches to the game.
b.) that soccer is a contact sport
c.) that hard work is more important than talent
d.) that sportsmanship isn't just shaking hands or not talking trash, but also tackling hard, playing with passion, and fighting for every f50/50 ball.
e.) that the Jordan team, every year, should improve as the season goes on, as a team.
